The June Release of the RheinInsights Retrieval Suite

Our Retrieval Suite ever evolves. With the June release, we introduced a new enterprise search connector, our new connector for Microsoft Teams. This connector allows for flexibly indexing Teams communication and to build your Retrieval Augmented Generation applications around it.

The release furthermore introduces SQL as target system. This way, you can keep your data synchronous with e.g. Azure SQL databases and leverage Azure AI Search’s built-in processing and indexing capabilities.

Of course, also the new SQL backends synchronize not only documents but also the user group relationships. For developers and our partners this means that you can build your secure / permission based retrieval augmented generation (see our blog post https://www.rheininsights.com/blog/en/Permission-Based+Retrieval+Augmented+Generation+RAG.php). The Suite supports Microsoft SQL, Postgres SQL and Oracle as target systems.

Also, the release brings new options for vector, semantic and hybrid search. With hybrid search and improved out of the box settings, retrieval augmented generation just got better and more precise.
