Conversational AI

This release introduces Conversational AI, a new chat-based interface for AI-generated content and knowledge discovery as part of our out of the box interface. The new experience provides a more natural way to interact with enterprise knowledge, combining retrieval and generative AI capabilities within a modern conversational interface.

Query/AI Pipelines

Release 1.24 expands the capabilities of query and AI pipelines. Administrators now benefit from improved query logging and the ability to stop running queries directly from the platform.

Additional improvements include offline keyword extraction, a new result deduplication stage, and an updated cross-encoder reranking model to further improve relevance and retrieval quality.

API access and public search configurations have been slightly modified. Public search pipelines and API-enabled pipelines are now clearly separated, providing a more explicit and secure access model for external integrations and website search scenarios.

Content Transformation

A new OCR extraction stage allows the Retrieval Suite to leverage large language models for extracting text from image files. This capability makes previously inaccessible image-based content available for search and AI applications. Support for images embedded inside PDF documents is planned for a future release.

Customers upgrading from previous versions of the Retrieval Suite to Version 1.24 will directly receive these new features.
