The November 2026 Release of the RheinInsights Retrieval Suite
November 2, 2026
The November 2026 release of the RheinInsights Retrieval Suite expands our connector family and introduces several improvements to the platform itself. The release adds new connectors for Salesforce and TYPO3, updates the SharePoint connectors slightly, and provides new capabilities for securing and monitoring Retrieval Suite deployments.

New Connectors
Release 1.25 introduces two new connectors, further expanding the range of enterprise content sources that can be integrated with the Retrieval Suite.
Our Salesforce connector indexes all CRM content, such as customers, accounts, and leads, as well as documentation and attachments, including structured metadata and of course the permissions.
The TYPO3 connector utilizes a dedicated REST API to index all pages and attachments within your TYPO3 instance, including their associated permissions.
Both connectors enable the efficient integration of content into your enterprise search, AI, or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) applications, allowing you to work with this knowledge securely and effectively.Access Control and Connectors
SharePoint On-Premises and SharePoint Online
This release includes small improvements to permission and metadata synchronization for SharePoint and SharePoint Online.
Site collection administrators can now optionally be included in synchronized ACLs. Additional improvements address edge cases for permissions, such as creator-viewer permissions, hidden owner group memberships in SharePoint Online. As well it addresses a small inconsistency in the metadata synchronization for lists using publication workflows.
Security and Administration
Release 1.25 introduces a new Basic Authentication provider for securing the administration interface. Unlike the existing passphrase-based authentication mechanism, the new provider uses hashed usernames and passwords and provides session management. This way customers can decide if they would like to secure the admin UI with OAuth via Entra Id, the legacy passphrase or basic auth.
Certificate handling has also been improved. Releases are no longer shipped with pre-generated self-signed certificates. Instead, certificates are generated automatically at startup unless customers provide their own certificates in the platform configuration. Deployments which use a proxy or load balancer are not affected by the change.
Customers upgrading from previous versions of the Retrieval Suite to Version 1.25 will directly receive these new features and improvements.
